There are two main groups of acoustic curtains. The one is the traditional textiles such as wool, felt and velour, that with their heaviness and sturdy quality have a silencing effect. If a textile weighs 500 grams per square meter or above, it has a good acoustic effect.

The other group are the technical acoustic curtains. They are lighter and possibly transparent and have a silencing effect because of their special texture.

Both types of curtain are often used in large as well as smaller rooms with many hard surfaces and materials such as concrete, glass and plaster. In meeting and conference rooms the curtains are used in front of glass surfaces or suspended on a plaster wall. In addition to reducing noise, the curtains function as decoration and as a soft contrast to the hard materials.

In particular, the heavy acoustic curtains are also used as room dividers or for creating space in the room. They are more flexible than a traditional plaster wall. The textiles reduce noise both inside and outside the rooms that they create.

The acoustic curtains are available in different qualities and thicknesses with a wide range of hand-printed patterns designed by Kurage. The curtains are also available in solid colours.

Besides regulating the noise in the room, the curtains are also decorative and help to create a harmonious whole. Acoustic curtains are ideal for large windows. They are ideal for all types of rooms, such as offices, auditoriums, schools, institutions, restaurants and hotels. The curtains are in absorption class C.
